Common Sense - do you always check paperwork and signatures?
Angela Lansbury (annalondon8@gmail.com)YOUI was inspired by a great tip on a blog by Jeremy Jacobs on a LinkedIn page. He was writing about Common Sense and checking documents had been completed and signed after leaving a meeting within a mile or five minutes of leaving, before dashing off to the next meeting. If a signature is missing, you can dash back to get it. Great tip. For business. I had some further thoughts: Also check paperwork before you leave and before others leave for any transaction such as collecting a car, builders, plumbers, or services at your office, home or buy to let property. Similarly before leaving for any meeting, check you have a notebook and pen and a spare pen to lend somebody else, and your business cards. Socially, similarly, check you have the address and name and phone of where you are going. Check your phone is with you. On leaving, check you have all your paperwork, bags, coat and hat and gloves, pen, diary, phone. Also keys. I have Toastmasters International certificates awarded to me by clubs of Toastmasters International. Do you have documents which never got signed?Angela Lansbury, author of How To Get Out Of The Mess You're In.
